Tom Newman
Tom grew up in a large family in the State of Idaho and has lived in the
Northwestern United States throughout his life. After a 20+ year media
career, he answered a longtime calling to ministry and founded Vision Peace
Ministries in Kirkland, Washington in 1998.
He served as Minister to the Vision Community for seven years, leading weekly
Sunday Services, the Vision Prayer Circle, discussion groups, and numerous
workshops, retreats, and interfaith gatherings. Tom and the
Vision Community were involved in several community outreach programs, including
a monthly meal service to homeless men and women in the Seattle area.

Tom is the father of two grown children and recently became a grandfather to
Sophia Abigail.
In 2005, he returned to his home state. He lives in the West Central
Idaho mountains, leads Sunday Services in Eagle, Idaho, is caretaker of the
Light in the Woods Chapel in Garden Valley, oversees the Vision Internet Ministry, writes weekly web
messages and is completing work on two books. On occasion he sits on his front
porch and attempts to play the banjo.
