let peace begin with me...

I really appreciate today's Daily Word from Unity:

The dawn from on high will break upon us...

The love of God is uniting the people of the world in peace.

The conditions of the world may seem impossible to resolve at times.  Realizing a true and lasting peace in the world may seem like a dream, and we may ask ourselves, What am I to do?

We surrender to God any adverse conditions that we perceive before us.  God is the one power at work in the world.  As we surrender fear to God, we allow the consciousness of love and peace to take its place.

The peace of God is within us and active in this world right here and right now.  The love of God unites each of us in peace.  Tapping into the peace and love that is God, we move aside all obstacles to peace in the world.  As we individually and collectively express the peace of God, a unity of spirit demonstrates itself in our lives and in the world.

"By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us." -Luke 1:78

In the midst of our highest hopes and deepest fears, in the joys and sorrows of daily living, the one power that is God is at work in our lives and in the world.  Remembering and affirming this Truth elevates our consciousness from helplessness to power; our perceptions shift from futility to possibility.  Love and peace blossoms within us.

In my heart of hearts, I've always been aware of our inherent oneness with God and with each other.  Time after time, this awareness has lifted me up and created a foundation of peace in the middle of life's troubles and challenges.  Likely, this is the same for you.  Though it wavers at times, the vision of peace ultimately remains intact...and in unity with God, grows ever stronger in our consciousness and experience.

Through the days of  this week, I encourage you to focus on God's loving power in your life - and the power of your own being inherent to your oneness with God.  In unity with God, all things are possible

"All things" can include world peace.  Again and again, let's choose peace.

Gandhi said, "Be the peace you want to see."

Amen.
