A unique ministry...

Here are some frequently asked questions about Vision:

Is Vision a Christian “Bible Based” Ministry?  Not in the traditional sense. Vision is Interfaith – and not limited to one specific theology, doctrinal directive, or single pathway to God. The Bible is utilized on occasion for its profound wisdom and guidance, but we recognize it as open to individual interpretation. Other sacred texts are considered valid and explored as well. At Vision, rather than focusing on theological differences, we examine the commonality inherent in all enduring religious teachings. We believe this commonality is Love. Jesus called this the Great Commandment: Love of God, love of neighbor, love of self. Vision Peace Ministries is committed to nurturing inner spirituality instead of doctrine and dogma, reflecting the words of Gandhi, “God has no religion…”

What are Vision’s Core Beliefs?  Because of our progressive and exploratory nature, Vision Peace Ministries is minimally doctrinal. Spirituality is a highly personal journey that we respect and encourage. Vision does provide Spiritual guidelines that are clearly outlined on the “Eleven Precepts of Vision Peace Ministries” page of this website. Please take a moment to read through these for a more complete understanding of our core beliefs.

Our Mission

We inspire and empower individuals and families to experience and express God's Unconditional Love through education, service and prayer, in a healthy Spiritual Community.

How do I join Vision Peace Ministries?  Vision is different from most church organizations. In support of our philosophy of empowerment and personal freedom, membership is not required at Vision. You are encouraged to participate in ways that nurture your Spirit and support your life’s journey. People from all walks of life enjoy and participate in Vision Peace Ministries from an inner heart level, not because of external controls or organizational pressures.

Where can I attend a Vision Sunday Service?  Vision Sunday Services are held every Sunday at 10:00 AM at the Eagle Community Center in Eagle, Idaho, (Map and directions) and on occasion in the Seattle area.  Special events and community gatherings are held at The Light in the Woods Chapel in Garden Valley, Idaho.  Information about upcoming Vision activities will be posted on this website.
